意思
either… or… 有「兩者選其一」的意思。
例子
Either Josh or Mariana will go to the market to buy food.
Josh 或者 Mariana (其中一個) 會到市場買食物。
用 either… or… 時，第一個選擇要放在 either 和 or 之間，第二個選擇則放在 or 的後面。
結構

Either (選擇一) or (選擇一) will go to the market to buy food.
Neither… nor
意思
neither… nor… 有「兩者都不」的意思。
例子
Neither my brother nor sister likes reading.
我的弟弟和妹妹都不喜歡閱讀。
同一原理，用 neither… nor… 時，把第一個選擇放在 neither 和 nor 的中間，第二個選擇則放在 nor 的後面，例如：
Neither my brother nor my sister likes reading.
我的弟弟和妹妹都不愛閱讀。
結構
顯易而見，即使用Neither… nor 時，結構亦是如下：

注意事項
值得留意，無論是用 either… or… 或是 neither… nor…，動詞的變化（subject-verb agreement）需要以最接近動詞的名詞作準。我把以上例子改動以作說明：

Josh 或我的父母會去街市買食物。
以上這句，由於最接近動詞 go 的是複數名詞 parents，故動詞無須加上 s/es。
